Gratitude
Many People will be celebrating this day, 22 March, worldwide.
Why? To rise our Awareness, and focus our Attention on the preciousness of Water,
and remind us of our use/misuse, and the need of taking care of its Purity.
It is a great idea!
Water is extremely precious, and we “should” use it wisely,
even in countries like Danmark, where we have plenty of it.
Every day we use, and maybe forget.
All Waters are Sacred, with or without Salt.
Our Oceans are just as important for Life and other Creatures.
And… We got Water inside our own Bodies,
we are ourselves so much Water!
In our cities, Water is trapped through tubes,
and “suffers”: aware of this, we have methods to Cleanse it as arrives to our homes,
by filters, Energy or Crystals, and Intention.
Are you on your own on this day, and you “feel for” ritual, here is a simple,
and “effective” way to celebrate, or maybe an inspiration for you.
Here a visualization you may use if you so wish.
Get ready in your own best way, creating a Sacred space, have some Water in a transparent Bowl,
and some pictures of Water, or Blue colors, in front of you.
(Should you have “blessed Waters” from other occasions, offer a couple of Drops to the Bowl).
If you are comfortable with it,
take a little journey or visualize the Water places you know, may it be Ocean, Lake, Stream, River, or a Well.
Go and visit and Honor those Waters, and Bless them.
Allow the Waters to Bless you back and (ask permission to ) move into them.
Allow them to Wash and Purify you, maybe drink a little zip.
Stay there as long as the experience is fresh, maybe they will “tell you” something “special”.
Thank, and move back to your Sacred space.
Here is a little ritual you can do if you wish, expand it or change it as it feels right.
Connect to the Water through your Palms, hold it close to your Heart,
and transfer the Power of the Wild Waters you just “met” (or you know) into it.
Bless and thank this Water too.
Charge it more, with Love and Gratitude.
(“Try to”) Feel the inner Waters in your Body,
and Bless them too, and your Blood.
Sprinkle it on and around yourself, drink some of it,
or/and have a little “ritual wash”…
Thank for Life that Water gives us all.
Collect then some of your Water into a separate bottle, to keep for other occasions.
And collect some to bring to a lager Body of Water, now, or when you can.
There, then, it will be released with a Blessing or a Prayer, and given away.
Water remembers.
Keep being aware of your Water use.

Many many years ago we were working in a shamanic group in the Forest.
We had an urge to ask a common question to Earth and Spirit.
“How can it be that Human Beings cause so much Destruction to each other and to Earth?”
The common answer, coming through different persons, was a chock to us all.
The essence was that the “Bad” happens because our Life here is governed by Duality, and it “has” to
be this way. It sounds like a “Law”, and it maybe is.
This did not mean we could not make progress, become better or improve the “Good”,
but something somewhere “had” to be the Opposite.
Realm of the Opposites, here we are, in Movement from one extreme to the other.
I would rather tell “something else”: this has come again and again, in different fashions and ways,
to many of us, so it “may be true”. Each one of us is of course free to “take it” or “discard it”.
So, suppose it is like this, how do we best deal with it?
Doing the “best” we can, supporting all what and who we each one believe is “good and fruitful” ,
exploring and creating new ways to improve our Lives and Surroundings,
by Compassion, by Friendships, by Sharing, by Love,
by gently or less gently “fight” for Rights and Brother/Sisterhood, Peace and Justice,
and… the list may go on, and we all have our own “to do” list .
For us who is into Spiritual or Religious praxis of some kind, we Pray, Bless, and do Rituals.
Purification, Prayers, Blessings, Donations, Forgiveness, Sharings, Retreats, Silence…
We have a Challenge to do whatever we can , and the right moment is any time.
On the Sun festivities, we globally connect to all the ones doing the same Work,
and “it” will improve, and “it “will Change, and “it” will get better, somehow, somewhere, at some point.
We need to keep on Trusting Human Being, Earth, and our Lives.
We may have no other Choice.
Have a Beauty-full Power-full Celebration, alone or together, wherever you are, whatever you do.

Why? asked a Friend in the phone today.
She is a “fan” of my work and my blog , still, she could not fully understand why at times I wrote about (as she called them) “not so positive things” like sickness or error, or “simple-ordinary” ones.
A good question! And it is a while ago since it was asked last.
First, dear Friend, my blog is about ” Life and Shamanism”.
Second, most of the things we go through as Human Beings, silly or heroic as they may look, are all part of our Education and Growth, the whole bunch, and our moving towards ourselves as whole Beings.
I meet People, their Lives and challenges, that is my job, and a blessing. I hear all kinds of stories. No judgement, and no shame! We are Human!
If you look at those “things” from the Shamanic point of view, you may see them (the “not extremely lucky ones”) from a different perspective.
AWARENESS, one of the pillars of Shamanism.
One can learn much about the movements of Nature, Life, one’s own and others’s stories.
TRUTH and HONESTY, two another pillars.
From our Heart comes Truth. Truth can also be painful , if “hidden” or “lied about” it may create more unbalance.
No JUDGEMENT, another pillar.
From our “mistakes” we learn, from being “touched”, from allowing our “movements” to express, we learn.
FOKUS, next one.
From Examining and Listening to ourselves, to Energy, to the Spirit and the Natural World, we learn.
And, no, I do not wish or need to “hide”, nor should You, or anyone.
So…
The point is to inspire, to share, so someone else can maybe learn.

It turned into a Retreat,
a “lonely-double” one,
a long long one…
While our Bodies are resetting,
“Sickness” is the Companion,
Stillness is the Companion…
We do what is necessary,
as little as possible.
Altered Consciousness…
we fly,
we feel dull,
we sleep and sleep,
we dream, and dream…
Quiet,
Blurred,
Clear?
The Animal Human is recovering,
Healing itself,
Resting,
“Forced” to Rest.
Patience, dear ones…
Patience with yourselves!
Energy “low”,
(or am I “judging”?) …
Maybe “Energy Change”?
“Refining oneself”?,
“Re-defining oneself”?
Purging?
Cleansing?
Reconstructing?…
It all, and more?
Accept, accept, accept…
What is the Gift of this time?
Spirit is Smiling,
Floating,
and says
“It is all right”,
“It is a part of the “Journey”,
called Life”…
Meet you on the other side.
I hardly get “really sick”.
Was this a surprise? No, not really, I “should” have known, but…
Reminders/”lessons” are always good, presents of Life, Experience,
and they can come from everywhere.
So… I had just finished a “home-coming” ceremony, and everything had gone very well.
I had been a little tense, because of the responsibility connected, and a some participants I did not know.
Outside, Storm, Eis flying through the Air, a real Winter Evening, strong, and New Moon.
I went out to enjoy a “landing smoke”, and thanked all Spirits around for support,
basically in a tea-shirt and my thin leather jacket, real silly…
Eis and Wind hit me, but I thought it was alright, call it “refreshing”.
My body said “Careful!”, and, twice, I “ignored” it… (ego, ego…)
Two days after, I collapsed, and still “sick”.
Usually I am an active person, and three days in bed , forget it.
Now my Body dictates: “stay there”, ” do nothing”,
and I am listening! , (almost a “Miracle”, smile).
Why I am writing about this?
I “found out” that the “condition” I am in, while my Body is “sick” and “reconstructing”
is an “altered state of Consciousness”:
the Foggy “all-embracing”, “no thoughts”, “empty and silent” , “floating dreamy state”,
is “interesting” and Healing, (which is what is happening).
Body working, Energy working… need Rest and Peace.
So… I was reminded of a few “things”… And thanks for that!
Great is the power of the Body, and I need to listen to it.
“Sickness” (at least this one), can be “enjoyed”, as a different Journey.
That is it,
maybe a banality, maybe not,
or just a story, up to you to decide.
Yes, it is very bad for the Animals, for the climate, for so many reasons,
but I still love them, what can I do?
Fireworks ignite my childish part,
I get lost, turned on,
enthusiastic,
empty…
Screaming, jumping, admiring.
“Expensive magic”, once a year,
in a frenzy…
Fireworks are Fire works,
I love Fire,
I love Light,
and the Sky.
And I forgive myself
for this …

Long long time ago You were Born,
down below, inside Earth, in your Cave, your Mother.
Drop by Drop Awakening, Shaping, Growing…
Drop by Drop You became Solide, became Rock,
bit by bit…
Half Sleeping, in the Sweet Moist Darkness,
You were Resting… in Soft Oblivion,
for many many Years.
One day, all around You Collapsed.
Big Chock, Big Noise, Big Light entering, suddenly it was Day,
suddenly it was Night, and Stars appeared.
Suddenly, You were exposed,
born off the Mother, into Life.
And Winds, and Rains came,
and Storm and Lightening shook the Earth…
Suddenly Humans appeared, and made their Home by You,
You became a Statue in their Presence.
But You still are there, and You are still Alive.
If you are going to party on Halloween night, with masks and dresses, and funny scary beings around you, enjoy, and have fun!
For us who don’t, it is each year a very special moment, a sacred moment to celebrate.
On 31 October night, Samhein, as in all other Sun festivities, the Other Reality is closer to this one, the Gates are more opened.
We have the opportunity to get in “contact” with both Our Dead and Ancestors, not to bother them, but to recall them, and honor them.
The approach can be done in different ways, simple or complicated, but a thought and a candlelight would do, since the intention is “clear”, and if one feels “okay/strong” and ready for it.
Offering a Thought or a Prayer, and a Thanksgiving, is always all right!
We honor our Roots, the Energy Dna bond, and the Life stories we shared in the past, before They left us.
If Forgiveness is needed, we forgive, or offer Forgiveness, and forgive ourselves, to release both parts.
If Love is strong, know that Love never dies.
If our contact is with other Beings, Pets or so, same thing.
We prepare ourselves as we feel and know best, dedicate a place as your little “Alter” for this purpose, summon our Spirit friends , (if we have some), and turn a Light on to let Them know we are ready.
Pictures, objects are welcome, but more “needed” from us than from Them.
A Song, a Meditation, a Prayer, Music, Words, it all works when we have our Intention.
“Offerings”, and “ritual sharing of Food and Drink ” can be present.
Moments of Silence and Inner Peace can be shared as “precious”, to “feel” Them, and very appreciated from the Other Realm.
Insights, Messages, may or may not come.
Nearness may or may not come, and the Ones we wish to meet may or may not appear in our Awareness, as they are just “as free” as we are, or maybe “as busy” as we are 🙂
Should we work with “other Plans” too, we can also help the Victims of War/Violence or Natural disasters to release this Earth and move on.
We can end by thanking, dismiss our Friends and Dead/Ancestors, close our Ritual, and go fully back to our Reality and Life.

So many many of us are moving in our urban reality with messages on their shirts, jackets, bags, even shoes.
The “Selling Machine” was clever: it uses us to promote itself.
“Common agreement” between many of us is that everything expensive must necessarily be good, (not all of us agree), so…first we buy expensive stuff , pay a lot, and then we keep on doing publicity for free for the ones we bought it from.
Clever! 🙂
A few times, the “messages” we carry on our bodies, are interesting, provoking, productive, or new.
How “Just do it!” started, and where it comes from, I do not know, or do not remember (maybe good?).
Still, it is an “interesting” one…
To me “just” implies “sudden”, “easy”, “spontaneous”, “light”, “natural”, this kind of.
“Do” is obviously “action”, “it” can be anything.
So… “Just do it” came “home with me” (so to speak), and provoked reflection.
And… it did move something in me… it did push me to do something I always though was “difficult” .
So, conclusion conclusion?
Big is the power of words.
Words are Gates, to be wisely used.
Maybe you can use this little story for something…
Just do it …:)
We , a group of Women, were working in the Forest: theme was, among others, “Helping a Tree”.
I “was found” by a big long “double” Tree, and allowed to bless myself by a lille Water at the bottom of his Trunk.
Little “Energy present” was given as a thanks, and to “keep the Balance”.
I “entered” its Space more closely,
forehead and palms on its Body, what did it need?
What could I feel ?, what was that…
“Fear”?
I asked if I was right, was I?
It was “Fear”!
The Tree was “afraid”
of …
All around… Cut down Dead Trees and Destruction, Destruction caused by us. First “Fear”.
The second one was Noise: the cutting machines, loud and polluting machines…(the Train close by, it was “used to it” now).
And the third was the Climate, its lost “stability”, even it itself was Living ok…
I touched it again, this time with my hands to the Roots, to give it Comfort, and “told it” that not all Humans cut Trees, some plant them…., we are many and different, us Humans…
I “told it” that many of us love and respect Trees, and the ones who cut “just” do their job, some of them that I know even try to do it as fast and as respectful as possible…
I apologized from deep.
Clearly, the Roots felt fine and strong, and not “afraid” at all, only the Trunk and Crown were, (very interesting, by the way)…
I left the Roots, and went back up : just as I moved, the Tree made me aware of an old “message” from its own Brothers and Sisters Trees, received many years ago…
“Send Love and Support to the Trees, we need it, we need to be reminded of that “You and Us are Friends”… Do you recall?” It “told” me…
Yes, I did… that particular practice had gone “out ” of my memory for some time…
I was told then that, by gently hitting the low Tree Trunk or Roots, Trees were “called awake”, they connected,
could “receive a Message”, (if put into the “calling”) , and repeat it on to the Others.
So…important one…
to be shared on…

Every year we celebrate the Sun movements and cycles, both as a moment of Prayer and Gratitude for our Life, and as reflection of our own (Birth, Growth, Maturity, and Decline), and Nature’s cycle.
We mark and create Rituals to keep in touch both with the Inner and the Outer Reality, to keep in Balance, to clear once more our Path, re-set our Intentions, and thank Earth, the Sun, and all the Elements and Beings for their Gifts.
Here a few “inspiration key words”:
Refresh yourself, your Alter, your Home,
invite Light into your Being, into your Life, and into Earth,
stay Outdoor and intake the Sunlight if it is there, the Energy if it is not,
have an Air bath or a Ocean bath, (or them all),
have a barefoot walk ,
visit a place from where you can see the Sunrise and the Sunset,
and bless them both.
Give Offerings to the Animals, and the Nature Beings.
Do or create something new.
Meditate for Peace and Harmony.
Make a circle of Beauty(ful things) in front of you to contemplate,
and a Fire, or Living Lights, to
share with yourself and others…
Drum , sing your favourite songs and dance,

there is Power,
there is Flow,

Our Hearts wide open,

For an Infinite short time,

Life is Movement.
My Earth day celebration turned out completely different than expected.
So, from plan A, I moved to plan B, and was ready for plan C, or no plan .
I got involved with a group of young artists, enviromental activists and lovely women, in a form of art and decorative/symbolic happening, a nest building in a dome.
This was part of preparation for the next day, where performance and play with kids and kidslike souls would happen.
Energy, talk, and work were good, and interesting, suddenly my friend and I had become part of the group, swinging in the same wave.
The seaside was filled with people enjoying the Sun.
And as a sweet “miracle”, unexpected, small children started popping up with their parents…
the dome became alive…
they came, and went, and came, and went… and came again…
Their curiosity, their behaviour, their movements and eyes, told us that we were working on “the right thing”.
A little funny strange “temple of wander”, where they could BE, and EXPLORE…
I realized what a “gift” we had been creating, and how much we had honored Earth by giving a “space of wander ” for one of the most important spices, the INNOCENT ONES.
Pacha mama was happy, and so were we.
And it felt good.
Thanks to you all involved for a great afternoon.

The rest will be given as a present to her through meditation, songs and dance, and Offerings.
We will end by the Sacred Fire, sharing Food and company.
BRING with: small offerings ( for example: rice, vegetable, feather, rocks, water, things that do not pollute)
drums and rattles, something to sit on, a piece or two of DRY WOOD, food, drink, what you know you need. A plastic bag
and plastic glove for collecting rubbish while we go.

I am sure we all can agree about the big and deep importance of sharing, no doubt there,
and its great value, rising more and more.
Still, sharing has thousands meanings, degrees, expressions and faces.
Years ago, in a period one could call “enquire time”,
I was reflecting upon “my work, its value, and its impact”.
Being guest at a friend’s marriage, and having accepted both the responsibility,
and the guidance of the ritual part of it, I was a little tense…
After the ceremony was done,
I came to “share opinions” with a previously unknown lady.
I was in doubt whether “my work” had generally to be “reduced”, and how much.
She attentively listened, and erupted in a
“You cannot retire, the world needs you,
it is your duty to share what you know!”
Her words were like an arrow, they hit me right in the heart.
She was right!
Every time I doubt, I remember her, again and again.
This story here to inspire us to ask ourselves
“What can I share, and how?”
There are so many many ways…
And to remind us also to “share with ourselves”.
How, we better ask ourselves…
An old man, of my Love’s family member, passed away a short time ago.
He has been visiting us a couple of times now, with his playful energy. Nice.
And today, another contact, from years ago, came to my mind.
The client, a fascinating young woman, had lost her Brother,
and was deeply sorry and sad, crushed.
She loved him much. He had taken his Life not long before, unexpected for her, and their mother.
Through me, they reconnected, and shared thoughts and Love,
they both had been longing for…
Among other things…
He explained “why”, and washed her free from guilt.
It was beautiful, and very touching.
Both us ladies cried.
For weeks, after the session, we had connection.
He kept on “visiting” me,
“showing” his thoughts and insights.
Unexpected, wonderful,
enriching,
and a little “strange”.
We had become “Friends”…
even we belonged to different worlds.

Years and years are gone… we were in 98, 99.
Tribal Life, our/my “school”, was thriving.
It feels like ages ago, and it is…
I still see many of you, dear ones, and occasionally cross others.
The response so far has been the same:
those were “good days” we will never forget.
But, it is in the Past.
How are we, the ones I never cross, the ones I cross too shortly?
For some time, I have been thinking of calling for an informal (of course) tribal meeting…
Does it have any sense?
Would and can I allow myself to interfere with your Lives? May I?
The one reason… You were my students (and my teachers), you live in my Heart.
The Energy will always stay , is that “enough”?
Would be so nice to meet you Eyes, to embrace you, each one.
To see you LIVE, to feel you LIVE.
And… say what?
Whatever we wish for, whatever we like to share, or nothing.
I am fine, thank you. Hope you are good too…
I may call you to meet under the old Oak, in a sunny afternoon.

That “Everyday is a Miracle”, we all know, and we also easily forget.
Gratitude is a great deed, a quality, and a discipline that gets blurred at times.
And sometimes we all experience days that feel “empty”, or “meaningless”.
We may call them “silly”, and be ashamed of them: what are they about?
Obviously, they are not our “best” ones, not the “glorious” or “interesting” ones, not the “loving” or “social” ones, not the “creative” ones…
Obviously, they are the “nonsense” ones, the “flat/uninspired” ones, the “feeling lonely” ones, the “colorless/foggy” ones, the “boring” ones, the “depressed” ones, the “tired” ones…(add your “favourite” here)…
Days to put out of the calendar, days to cancel, to forget?
Or?
What if we remove the “negative judgement” attached to them?
Or?
What if we call them “pause” days instead?
Or?
Accept and Be in whatever is, “those” days included?
What about…
Allowing them to happen?
Allowing “retreat”,
“adjusting” and “resting” days?
And…Let us Be,
let them Be…
Part of our “Waves”, as they are,
part of our “Tides” as they are…
“Silly” days get a different flair then,
a “dignity”,
a “meaning”,
a “value”,
a “new sense”.
Relax,
and enjoy them too.
All is good.
